The Mary Snow School, named after Bangor native and Maine’s first female Superintendent of Schools, serves families of grade four and grade five students on the East Side of Bangor.
Like all Bangor Schools, Mary Snow’s unique elementary school experience is driven by the mission and vision outlined in the Bangor School Department’s Strategic Plan: Pathways to Excellence. The competent and caring faculty demonstrates a commitment to assessing each child’s educational profile in order to meet the needs of the specific learner and accelerate his/her learning. A rich and engaging curriculum including math, language arts, science, and social studies offers students opportunities to explore new concepts and apply higher levels of thinking across the curriculum.
The Mary Snow experience is amplified with a variety of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities that extend learning or make a connection to student interests. In fact, more than 95% of students at Mary Snow add to their school experience by participating in before or after school programs.
Please don’t hesitate to call the school if you have questions about the Mary Snow School experience.
Sincerely,
Dan Chadbourne, Ed.D.
